Total Career Revenue over 200 million dollars across all
businesses
Is a graduate of Hampton University with a degree in
Airway Science and Aeronautical Engineering. As an
undergraduate I interned for the Federal Aviation
Administration for 2 years. After checking out in Oklahoma
City for air traffic controller, I was hired by Norfolk tower
followed by a stint in Miami Center.
I resigned after two years to pursue more education and
to begin my entrepreneurial career. I operated a
telecommunications business First Step Communications in
Pittsburgh, that grew to seven stores and was bought by
PageNet in 1999. I continued in business operating
convenience stores and gas stations for a short period.
My family and I began. Structural construction and
Welding business- Eagle Welding and Structures, INC in
1999. I was the COO and grew the business from 300,000
in gross revenue to 9 million annually. We operated the
business until 2010.
In 2004 I started a company called club builders LLC
which I ran as a side business until the financial crisis of
2008. At that point I was operating Eagle Welding and
Club builders simultaneously, as business slowed, I began
building Clubs, restaurants, and lounges, first in S Florida,
then the east coast and finally nationally and internationally.
In 2012, I did a project for Atlantis, in the Bahamas.
Because of the large amount of supplies needed from the
US and Asia I began my journey into freight forwarding,
freight brokering and NVOCC. We have defined space in
shipping along with import/ export and clearances. We still
operate today under Always Blessed Caribbean enterprises,
my brother is the CEO, and I am COO of procurement and
new business to the Caricom countries.
I am also a construction consultant and contractor, iron
Butterfly Group LLC and Master contractors and
Subcontractors of Florida.
Finally, because of the large amount of losses in the
Southeastern portion of the US, we have worked as an 8a
minority contractor with various US agencies during
hurricane relief dating back to Andrew in 1992 and Katrina
in 2005. We have also worked on a number of small and
medium sized storms in Puerto Rico, Bahamas and
Jamaica. As such this has allowed us to raise money for
hurricane relief pre-, during and post responses.
I am currently divorced, an Episcopalian, a member of
100 Black men of South Florida, and look to continue
making inroads in climate change and economic recovery of
storms in the southeastern United States!
